My Story
After teaching band and elementary music for nearly 25 years, I think I have finally figured out what I want to be if I ever grow up…. a music producer/composer. I made a promise to myself years ago that I would remain a student forever. Recently, a new friend of mine, Naren Rauch, told me that learning to run a professional recording studio takes the same amount of discipline as learning a new instrument. He’s right, as I’m discovering.
Am I the life of the party? Let’s put it this way: the party isn’t a party unless I show up. I’m the guy who grabs someone’s guitar without their permission to sing “Happy Birthday” to them. I’ll burst into song at a moment’s notice, and if it’s a duet, I am not ashamed to say I will falsetto the female part just to get people to laugh. My rule at a party is, it’s not over until the neighbours have sent the cops over, and I’ll probably end up singing to them too.
In my live performances, I love watching people do a double-take when I switch from singing a country song, and then hop into “Careless Whisper”, and yes, I add the sax myself too. My favourite compliment was from someone who heard me sing 10 years ago who is amazed that even now at my age, I am still developing my singing voice to cover more and more genres well. (I was born in 1969, but after the summer.)
If you’d like to make music with me in my studio (virtually or in person), or simply need me to create some for you with some detailed instructions, chances are, I’ve played or sung the style you need already, so let’s get to it.
I will update the gallery section on the home page of this website every time a new piece of music is ready so you can see if I am capable of producing what you really need.
Thank you for visiting Cameron Clark Music. I look forward to creating remarkable and memorable tracks with/for you.
